- Alternate game versions
At the 'Arcade' menu, select 'Dig Dug II'. Tap the touch screen or press L + Begin to display the menu. Select 'Settings (2)', then go to 'Hardcore Options'. Tap 'New Version', and change it to 'Old Version'. Return to the 'Arcade' menu to access the classic version of Dig Dug II.


At the 'Arcade' menu, select 'Xevious'. Tap the touch screen or press L + Begin to display the menu. Select 'Settings (2)', then go to 'Hardcore Options'. Tap 'Xevious Version', and change it to 'Super Xevious Version'. Return to the 'Arcade' menu to access the Super version of Xevious. The difference between the two versions is the difficulty.


Go to the 'Hardcore Options' for one of the following games. Select the 'New' or 'Super' version of that game and begin playing. Quit the game, and the 'New' or 'Super' version of that game will now appear at the arcade game selection menu.
