- Time Attack mode
Enter AXELORD as a name. When you can control Alucard, pause the game and select the 'Settings' option. A 'Time Attack' option will appear at the bottom. It displays what time you defeated the Bosses and received special items. This has no purpose in the game.

- Begin with Axe Lord armor
Successfully complete the game as Alucard with a 180% or higher completion and have a 'Clear' saved game file. Then, begin a new game and enter AXEARMOR as a name for Alucard to have the blue armor that transforms your him into the axe-wielding blue knight (Axe Lord).

- Begin with 99 luck
Successfully complete the game as Alucard with a 180% or higher completion and have a 'Clear' saved game file. Then, begin a new game and enter X-X!V''Q as a name. Notice: There are two apostrophes in the name. When the game begins, your luck will be set to 99.

- Hidden save room
Use the 'Walk through walls' trick at the first area (the one with the drawbridge) and fall below the map. Go towards the drawbridge and you will fall into a hole leading to an underground cavern. There are only two ways to go; up, which leads back to the main floor, or right, which takes you to a glitched save point that does work.

- Easy Boss kills
To kill most bosses rather quickly, equip the throwing knives and stand some distance away. Throw the knives as quickly as possible to deal a considerable amount of damage each time. Notice: Olrox, Shaft, and Dracula will not die as easily and Richter Belmont is immune to them.

- Nova Bomb
Enter DRACULA as a name to begin with a Nova Bomb.

- Begin with more intelligence
Successfully complete the game as Alucard with a 180% or higher completion and have a 'Clear' saved game file. Then, begin a new game and enter X-X!V'' as a name. Notice: There are two apostrophes in the name. When the game begins, you will have increased intelligence but decreased strength.

- Easy 'Bloodlines' achievement
In the first area, hit the first lamp, and get the cross. Keep hitting other lamps to get hearts. Get your heart level up to about 90 or 100, then begin the fight with Dracula. He will first fire a stack of three fireballs directly at you. Before he fires, jump and throw a cross near him, then duck and hit the fireballs. They will disappear, and you will not be injured. Dracula will do this attack two more times. He will then fire two large black fireballs at you. They cannot be hit with the whip and must be dodged. First duck, then jump up to avoid them both. Continue to do this until he transforms. You should still have a lot of hearts remaining. Get close to him, and press Y to activate the super attack. You must be somewhat close so that the crosses actually hit him. Continue to do this until he dies.

- Play as Richter Belmont
Successfully complete the game as Alucard with a 180% or higher completion and have a 'Clear' saved game file. Then, begin a new game and enter RICHTER as a name to play as Richter Belmont. Richter can not change forms or use armor, weapons, items, and magic. He can perform a super jump, a blade charging move, and use secondary weapons such as the throwing dagger, axe, and holy water.

- God's Garb
Successfully complete the game as Alucard with a 200% completion. Then, begin a new game and enter MEPHISTO as a name. Alternately, go to the inverted castle and enter the inverted clock tower. Go to the black marble gallery. The armor lords that guard the clock tower will drop God's Garb.

- Walk through walls
This trick requires two Heart Refreshes, a Duplicator, and a Library Card. Equip both of the Heart Refreshes and the Duplicator. Jump into an open doorway as if you are going to go through it. When you think you are about to go through, use one of your Heart Refreshes. While the first one is going, keep pushed the button to activate the seconed one. When the second one is going, keep pushed the button for first one repeatedly. You will slowly go under the ground. When you are in the floor, make sure you do not go too far down. When you are down far enough, you can move around freely.

- Begin with Potion
Successfully complete the game as Alucard, then begin a new game and enter GHOST!!! as a name to begin with a Potion.

- Achievements
Do the following things to obtain the corresponding Gamerscore points:

5 Points
Rampage	Overcome 10 consecutive enemies using the standard weapons without getting hit.
Apprentice	Overcome 10 consecutive enemies using only magic without getting hit.
10 Points
Demon Slayer	Overcome Gaibon and Slorga.
Changeling	Acquire the Bat, Wolf and Mist transformations.
Bloodlines	Overcome Dracula in the Bloodlines stage without getting hit.
Familiar	Acquire all five familiars in the game.
Weapon Master	Overcome 10 consecutive enemies using special weapons without getting hit.
15 Points
Warlock	Unlock/Cast all eight of Alucard's spells.
20 Points
Topsy Turvy	Unlock the Inverted Castle.
25 Points
Money Bags	Acquire a bank of $100,000.
35 Points
Seeker	Explore 200.6% of the game.
45 Points
Belmont's Revenge	Finish the game, including the Inverted Castle, as Richter.

- No Dopplegangers
Enter MARIA as a name and you will not have to fight the Dopplegangers.
