In Yakuza 0 play as a young boy by the name of Kiryu, 20 years, that was more or less just enlisted in the family Dojima clan Tojo from his foster father, Shintaro Kazama. Kiryu ends up being suspected of murder after collecting money from a guy and then found dead in the place where it has taken away the money. This lot has also become a piece of land much desired by the Yakuza, which ends up making Kiryu a target to confound the clan and attract attention to their business. Dojima offers a promotion to anyone who can put it in the safe, and in the end, Kiryu is confused in all of this. He decides to clear his name to protect his foster father from facing the punishment for having done so join the clan.
