Circle the altars instead of waiting for random chests

Chests appear on altars located at fixed points on the map, not randomly: when you collect one, another appears on a different altar.It's therefore a good idea to learn where the altars are in each arena and circle them using a specific path, rather than hoping a chest will appear where you already are.

Risk drowning from certain upgrades in water

Some upgrades have very specific conditions: one, for example, significantly increases your rate of fire only when you're underwater with less than 25% oxygen remaining.In arenas with water areas, deliberately getting close to the edge before climbing back up can be a more effective strategy than avoiding the water out of caution.

Change your playstyle to unlock more, not just survive

Your character can freely climb walls and ceilings, not just floors: when a swarm surrounds you from below, climbing above their reach is often more effective than looking for open ground that might not exist.

Try out multiple characters before settling on just one

The 9 unlockable characters have different starting weapons and traits, and the unlock instructions are visible in the bunkhouse where they rest.Not all characters are suited to the same playstyle: if a run keeps failing with the same character, the problem might be the pairing with your favorite synergies, not the run itself.
