How to start and pass the security check
After the introduction you find yourself at Cabin-41 station in Colorado. Go to the checkpoint marked Move and enter your identification to enter as D-EC1234 Rook. Then continue to the gallery for the briefing: there the containment breach alarm goes off.
How to survive the first attacks and upgrade yourself
After the explosion face the green enemies emerging from the dimensional gaps: use the main weapon, dodge the hits and absorb the lithogram powers. Collect the fragments they leave, such as mud and energy samples, to unlock offensive abilities. Search the side rooms for ectoplasm and shadow ash.
How to restore power in the Alpha sector
Follow the map to the offline generator station in the Alpha sector and interact with the panel to restore power and defenses. Along the way use the explosive barrels against the spectral waves. Before the infirmary pick up the skill modules and the Death Warrant key.
How to protect the archivist
Find the survivors in the server room and the infirmary and rescue the wounded. Then take position next to the archivist on the central platform and hold out for the indicated time: use precise shots and quick executions on enemies with low health. Once the defense is complete you receive the approved extraction.
How extraction works
Reach the flashing green platform, or the one marked by green arrows, and stay inside until the countdown from five to zero ends. First eliminate the remaining threats and collect materials and weapon containers left in the area.
How to use the PAAM console and collect directives
Back at the base, go to the PAAM console to see the available directives and collect the rewards for the survival objective. You earn credits and materials that unlock new functions and new operatives.
How to equip, craft and upgrade weapons
At the armory buy compatible weapons, such as the PAR Mk. II-A assault rifle and the PSA Mk. III pistol, with your accumulated credits. In the equipment menu assign them to your character. Sell the surplus ones for scrap and go to crafting to assemble a weapon like the PAR Mk. III.
How to spend skill points
In the skills menu spend the points you've earned to upgrade active and passive abilities, for example the level of the PW-L Grenade Mk. 7. After each mission also check stats and level in the summary screens.
How to choose and start a mission
From the holographic globe in the command center consult the operations map, check combat requirements and rewards and confirm. Among those seen are Op. Contingency Nine, Op. Cobalt Surge at threat level one and Op. Ember Wolf. Then step onto the green platform and start the teleport.
How to reactivate the auxiliary generators
In the restoration missions look for the power generators, turn on the first and get ready for the wave of mythic enemies that arrives right after: eliminate them all before moving on. Then reach the second generator, reactivate it and face the last wave to receive the safe area notification. Open crates and energy crystals along the way for rare weapons and passive bonuses.
