Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a high-speed racing game on new and familiar planets in the Star Wars galaxy, featuring the return of the iconic sport of podracer racing, coming October 6th on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. The single-player campaign has roguelike elements: you play as Shade, a lone racer with a score to settle, and you choose branching paths to obtain parts, tools, and upgrades; if you're eliminated from the circuit, you start over. You'll try repulsor vehicles like landspeeders, skim speeders, speeder bikes, and podracers, as well as the Hibi mechanic, which helps you build the ride that best suits your style. Online multiplayer supports up to 12 racers, and there are Arcade modes, with time trials, and Scenarios. The game takes inspiration from WipEout in terms of handling, cornering, and boost management.
