Guide to Graves' clear with the Challenger Kaido
Renowned player Kaido demonstrates how to tackle the jungle clear with Graves using a single smite on both sides of the map.The video includes valuable strategic tips for optimizing your initial routes and improving your game performance.
Don't blindly trust those you flirt with
The Ashenridge killer changes with every playthrough, and it's possible to start a romantic relationship with him or her without knowing it.Don't exclude anyone from your list of suspects just because you're flirting with them: observe the clues as carefully as you would the flirting, and keep in mind that your choices may also push the killer to stop—or worsen.
Investigate yourself instead of waiting for clues
Evidence doesn't come naturally: you have to actively search for it around Ashenridge, gather information by talking to the townspeople, and, when necessary, sneak into their homes.Spend time explicitly on this instead of just focusing on the fields: each month has a limited window of time to discover and build the right countermeasure before the killer strikes again.
Time is running out: One murder per season
Each game lasts one in-game year divided into four months, one for each season (spring, summer, autumn, winter), and in each of them the killer targets at least one victim. If you fail to prepare the necessary countermeasure in time, the story still moves forward—failure doesn't end the game, but it does change the course of events, so it's best to plan ahead instead of chasing an investigation until the last day of the month.
Adapt your crops to the current season
Every change of season changes which seeds you can plant, just like in classic farming sims: before investing time and resources in a crop, check that it's consistent with the time of year, otherwise you risk having planted for nothing when the season changes.
Upgrade your tools as soon as possible
The spade, pickaxe, and axe don't remain at their base level: each tool can be improved over the course of the game, becoming more efficient in your character's hands. It's worth investing in these upgrades early, so that digging, mining, and clearing take up less time away from investigating the killer.
To talk to an NPC, you don't need to be in front of them.
The game treats interactions with crops and people differently: while for planting or harvesting, only the cell directly in front of you counts.to you, an NPC recognizes you and stops if you approach from any side, not just head-on.This is useful when you need to intercept a villager to get some information before they move away.
