Check out this loot and equipment guide to learn how to find the best items in the game. The video demonstrates the basics of upgrading your inventory and making the most of the market for higher-level loot.
The Rally command is the key to the game
Rally allows you toA leader can absorb an adjacent monster that hasn't yet acted, gaining a passive trait that's useful until you dismiss it.Don't choose the strongest monster at random: look at the Rally trait and pair it with the leader who benefits most from it, instead of treating Rally as a simple brute force boost.
Choose the weakest bases before attacking
Before each invasion, check the enemy defenders and the battlefield.Strike the weakest bases and always leave some units to defend yours, rather than emptying them for the next assault.
Keep your army compact, not spread out
Spreading your strongest units across too many battles at once weakens each front. It's best to maintain a connected formation and concentrate your forces on a manageable stretch of the enemy line: eliminating threats one at a time reduces your opponent's ability to counterattack.
On the hex grid, move while looking at the threats
Battles take place on a hex-based map: before moving a unit, check which spaces are safe and which are already under enemy fire.A careless movement leaves the very monster you just tied with Rally exposed.
Veteran units are worth more than a numerical advantage
Surviving battles increases the growth of knights and monsters through the game's RPG progression.Focus on reliable units that can be developed over time instead of treating each encounter as a disposable number: a veteran becomes more valuable with each campaign phase.
