Different tools, walkie-talkies and a secret for those who played Forever: the guide to We Were Here Tomorrow.
We Were Here Tomorrow takes the asymmetrical co-op series out of its comfort zone: this time, you'll wake up in the underground Norček Industries base, buried beneath the Antarctic ice, with only a walkie-talkie to communicate with. On this page, you'll find tips on how to use the different tools assigned to each Explorer, why communication remains the game's only true mechanic, which hidden connections reward those who played We Were Here Forever, and a video guide to the complete demo to get a feel for it before you set off.

Watch the full cooperative gameplay session for the We Were Here Tomorrow demo. The video demonstrates the solution to all the puzzles in the demo, offering helpful guidance on the most challenging parts of this new adventure from Total Mayhem Games.
For the first time in the series, the two players don't just see different rooms: they also receive different tools. One player can use a block to hold down buttons from a distance, while the other has a deployable platform that helps them reach otherwise unreachable points. Before you launch into a puzzle, clarify who has which tool: many solutions depend on how these two sets complement each other.
The puzzles are asymmetrical in design: each player sees only half the necessary information. Describe exactly what you see—shape, color, location—rather than assuming the other player will quickly understand. This is the principle that underpins the entire We Were Here series, and it applies even more here due to the different tools mentioned above.
Tomorrow abandons the medieval castle aesthetic of previous chapters for the retro-futuristic Norček Industries facility, buried beneath the Antarctic ice. Director Kathleen Bowe asks you to continue the work of her missing research team before the discovery of the facility leads to a global crisis.
Those who have completed We Were Here Forever will find hidden links that close some unanswered questions, including what happened to the Jester. They're not essential to following the plot of Tomorrow, but they reward those who have been familiar with the series from the beginning.
The game alternates pure puzzles with sections where mastery of your tools and movements is more important - to keep the pace varied. In both cases, solving too quickly without consulting the other player is the most common cause of errors: even when you think you've figured out the solution, a second verbal check with your partner takes a few seconds and avoids having to start an entire puzzle over again.
We Were Here Tomorrow is always played by two people: there is no single-player mode. Since it's free, it's also the cheapest way to introduce a friend to the series before moving on to the paid chapters - but it requires the same commitment to communication as previous episodes, no discounts on difficulty just because you don't pay.
