Earning easy gold through Riftstones
Visit the Riftstones and look for requests from pawns offering common items or materials in exchange for gold rewards. Many players post quests of this kind, offering a steady source of money when you face a shortage of funds.
Buying Mildred's house in Vernworth
Find Mildred in Vernworth and accept her offer to watch over her home for a week. Make sure to accumulate twenty thousand gold coins before the seven days run out. This choice lets you buy the house permanently, gaining a private bed and a safe storage space in the capital.
Speeding up vocation progression with rings
Look in the Riftstones for pawns who offer the Ring of Endeavor as a quest reward. Wearing one ring grants a fifty percent boost to discipline points for vocations, while wearing two doubles the effect, halving the time needed to level up your characters.
Exploiting the regional goods trading system
Collect apples and grapes in Vermund and leave the stock on the benches to ripen. Sell the ripened fruit in the Battahl region for high profits, exploiting the differing value of goods across the various game territories.
Quest management
Always check the quest log for specific symbols such as the hourglass, which marks timed quests that require immediate completion. Consult your party's pawns and make use of the oracles' guidance in the cities to find the right direction if you get lost.
Save points
Make use of automatic and manual saves while exploring, but remember that resting at an inn creates a save in a dedicated slot that isn't overwritten by quick saves, offering a precious safety net if you fail a quest or face an encounter that is too hard.
Pawn management
Always travel with your main character and two summoned pawns, preferably choosing a pawn with a support inclination to heal the party. Pick higher-level pawns to get useful information about quests and check inclinations and specializations such as the forager to spot valuable materials.
Inventory and upgrades
Manage the maximum load of your character and pawns carefully to avoid stamina penalties. Collect the golden beetles and buy the ring of accrual to increase carrying space, depositing unneeded materials in storage containers and using blacksmiths to upgrade weapons and armor.
Selling items in the right region
The selling price of items and materials changes depending on the region where the shop is. A ripe apple is worth much more in Battahl than in Vernworth, where fruit is common. Likewise, precious materials like Jasper are worth more in Battahl, while Onyx fetches more in Vernworth. It is always worth checking where to sell your goods to earn as much gold as possible.
Cheating death by healing from the menu
When your character loses all health during a fight, just open the inventory right away and consume a healing item. This move restores the character's health while the game remains open, letting you survive a fatal blow without wasting Wakestones.
Saving your pawn from falls
Throwing a pawn off a cliff and following it right away prevents fall damage thanks to the pawn's arms catching the player. Alternatively, if the pawn falls on its own, the magick archer's remedy arrow revives it from afar before the jump, nullifying fall damage.
Managing the dragonplague
The dragonplague strikes pawns infected during travels. To remove the disease without running serious risks, just throw the infected pawn into water to remove it from the party and then summon it back through the Riftstone to find it cured. PlayStation Plus users can also upload the save to the cloud before sleeping at an inn, so they can download it and cure the pawn in case of infections.
