Neon Abyss 2 Quick Start Guide: What to Know Before You Get Started
We analyze the mechanics and main features of the game in this targeted video, ideal for optimizing your time and discovering everything you need to know before starting games in the new chapter of the series.
Is it worth collecting everything you find?
Yes, because there's no limit to the number of items you can carry. Each power stacks with the others, and strange combos arise precisely from accumulation, so leaving something on the ground is usually a mistake.
Switching weapons every time they drop?
No. The starting weapon is surprising, especially when passives strengthen it. Before swapping it for the first new one you find, ask yourself if the replacement really performs better with what you already have.
How does the Faith system work?
Faith is your safety valve when the Abyss gets heavy. You can spend it in a shop with powerful items, to recruit more Hatchmon to your side, or gamble it away. Some passives link Faith to other benefits, like a combat spark every time you lose at the slot machine.
Why do keys disappear?
There's no confirmation when you interact with a door or an NPC. If two items are close together, you risk spending a key on the door instead of the chest next to it. It's even more common in the shop: the three items are stuck together, and sometimes you buy more than one unintentionally. Don't hit the shopkeeper with bombs or grenades, and remember that the VIP Card among the Evolution perks increases the items on sale.
Is it worth playing with friends?
Online co-op supports up to four players, and the synergies between each player's items multiply in crazy ways. Among the passives, there's also one that makes Hatchmon eggs hatch faster with each room cleared.
