What is the Chrono for?
The Chrono is the token that allows you to reroll dice already drawn and refresh the shop from which you recruit new units. It is not a token to be consumed randomly: it is better to keep at least one in reserve for turns in which the initial roll does not offer any useful combination, rather than settling for a weak placement just to avoid wasting it.
The budget changes the result of the roll, not just the placement
The budget is used to manipulate the dice roll to build exactly the combo you need, rather than simply placing what came out by chance on the grid. It's the tool that distinguishes a lucky run from a managed one: use it wisely before placing, not after, to correct a nearly good roll into a perfect one.
Align the dice in pairs, triples, or fours for the strongest combos
