Aion 2: skills and skill progression guide
Optimize your character's growth by discovering how to power up active, passive and stigma abilities. The guide explains how skill points, Daevanion boards, Arcana cards, soul bindings work and the best method to collect stigma shards.
Choose your class carefully
Study your class choice carefully before starting, because the game requires a lot of progression tied to your main character, and changing class later costs a lot of time and resources.
Complete everything in every territory
Don't skip quests or side content in the various villages, because every zone offers essential rewards like skill points, crystals and upgrade stones needed for your character's growth.
Use points on the skill boards
Unlock board nodes as you level up and prioritize offensive skills and your main combat-style stats to boost damage right away.
Manage your enchantment stones
Avoid upgrading every piece of gear you find, because enchantment stones and kina are limited, precious resources in the early game.
Prioritize key abilities
Focus points on your class's offensive, priority abilities to unlock special bonuses, instead of spreading upgrades across secondary utility spells.
Differences between potions and elixirs
Life potions restore health gradually over time, while elixirs return health points instantly. Keep both in your inventory since they have separate cooldowns, and turn on auto-use for potions by setting your preferred activation percentage.
Advanced flight techniques
Open your wings by pressing V, hold W and press Shift to trigger a forward dash. Repeat this sequence as soon as movement slows down to extend flight duration and cover greater distances without draining all your energy.
Track content on the map
Open the map, go into settings and select the content entry to see every location you've explored, including collected feathers and completed dungeons. This helps you quickly spot what's missing without re-exploring the same areas.
Managing transformation for odyle energy
Use the substance transformation system to create items that give forty units of odyle energy. You can repeat this up to seven times a week to get resources useful for your progress.
Collecting crafting resources
Save rare materials instead of using them right away for lower-level crafting. Keeping items like raw meat saves you the time of getting it again from monsters during your sessions.
