Zurg is finally playable for everyone, not just on PS3
In the original 2010 release, turning into the villain Zurg in Toy Box mode was a PlayStation 3 exclusive. The Complete Edition brings this content to every platform: unlock Zurg by buying the right toy in the shop after breaking the dam in Toy Box, then activate him in a building near the Slinky Dog at the Ranch.
Zurg completely changes how you play
Zurg can't double-jump or grab onto ledges like Woody and the others, so you'll miss out on some secrets only reachable with a double jump — but he's the only character with an actual cannon, has his own dedicated missions, and even his own vehicle, the Zurgmobile, complete with a hood-mounted cannon.
Get out of the train level's boundaries
Activate the high-speed code from the main menu, then drive Woody onto the green car parked on the train cars: from there you can reach areas outside the track's intended geometric limits.
The backwards rope climb
The Backwards Rope Climbing technique lets you move slowly along ropes and stop exactly where you want, instead of dealing with the standard climb/descend that often overshoots the spot.
Hit the Boxobot in the right spot
Aim for the orange Boxobot's left arm to earn one hundred thousand points in a single hit — much faster than hitting it at random in the standard spots.
Target the top of the volcano and the alien crate
In the second level, these two targets each grant fifty thousand points: useful for leveling up faster without having to replay the whole level from scratch.
Clip through walls using crates
Push a crate to the right edge and jump into the wall to get past the physical boundaries of Buzz's levels — a clipping glitch already known to fans of the original, worth checking whether it survives unchanged in the remastered code.
