Minecraft Dungeons II: in-depth gameplay and pricing breakdown
This deep dive analyzes the sequel's gameplay mechanics and trailers, showing the evolution of the combat system, tactical variety and battlefield positioning. The video also covers details on the September 29, 2026 release date, launch price and current-gen console exclusivity.
Choose the right difficulty
The game offers three different difficulties: Default, Adventure and Apocalypse. Default unlocks at the start, while Adventure unlocks after defeating the Arch-Illager. Apocalypse unlocks by completing other advanced challenges and meeting specific mission requirements.
Take on the Tower for better gear
The Tower offers progression based on the difficulty the player has unlocked. Completing the Tower yields high-level items including weapons, armor and bows. Tackling the Tower repeatedly lets players stockpile powerful gear, ideal for the early stages.
Weigh up the Ancient Hunts in the later stages
Ancient Hunt missions require enchantment points and offer experience plus a chance at rare, unique items. The video recommends avoiding these missions early on since they require precious points and time, saving them instead for players who reach higher levels like Apocalypse Plus.
Use the Blacksmith to upgrade your gear
The Blacksmith lets you upgrade existing items by completing three missions at the required difficulty. Players can use one gear set while leaving the other with the Blacksmith for the upgrade, using this system to improve stats without wasting precious time.
Reach the end of the Tower
Open the Minecraft Dungeons map, select the Tower and start the climb to complete every floor until you reach the final boss fight on the last level.
Use the totem to return to camp
Reach the Tower's final floor and position yourself near the specific totem to interact and select the command to head back to camp.
Close the game before collecting the rewards
Head back into the Tower through the map, walk through the door to see the final rewards screen, and immediately quit the game by closing the tab or the application without claiming any reward.
Restart and repeat the process
Open Minecraft Dungeons again, restart the run and go back to the Tower screen to see the increased boss kill count, and repeat the glitch to raise the level of your items.
