Complete Guide: Master the Chain of Memories Card System
Struggling with the card-based combat system? This guide clarifies how to manage numbers and build a solid deck, including external resources with tables and details on treasures to overcome every obstacle in the game without frustration.
How do you start battles on the field?
To start a battle, hit a Heartless in the field room. Then play the Simba card, the only card you get early, to prolong the effect.
Why build your deck around a sleight?
Look at the list of sleights and the cards they require, then prepare your deck so you can use them one after the other. Most enemies, including bosses, can't interrupt them, and they do much more damage than the individual cards they comprise. When you level up, choose sleights whenever possible and raise your CP early on, so your deck becomes solid quickly.
How do you break an enemy card?
Play a card with a higher number than your opponent's. Even the 0 cards placed at the bottom of the deck are used to break the enemy's attacks.
How do you build a balanced deck?
Mix attack cards, magic cards with spells like Fire, Blizzard, and Cure, item cards to heal you, and special cards with particular effects.
How does the approach against bosses change?
With bosses, use your cards more carefully: usually, you play the first set of sleight cards and, after recharging, go back to the normal cards, watching what the boss puts down to break him when you can.
