The most talked about new feature is the ability to hide Edward Kenway's pistols when they're not needed, along with an option to disable perk visual effects. There's also a stray dog that can now be adopted and brought to the lair—a tiny detail, but one that's quickly noticed on the forums.
The rest of the patch is all maintenance, but a lot of it: it fixed Ah Tabai's freeze during the mission "Everything is permitted" if Edward steals his objective, fixed James Kidd's stalemate in "The Sage's buried secret," fixed the attackable allied ship in "The Final Contract," and fixed the bug with British Fleet ships ending up off-map in "A Proper Shipwright."It also fixed the fast travel that caused players to fall out of the world, regions that remained unrevealed after 100% synchronization, and enemies that couldn't be marked with the Eagle Vision if their health meters were disabled.
In short, a typical post-launch update: no real new content, but the list of fixes confirms that Ubisoft is still closely monitoring the remake, released last July 9th.For those who had put it on hold waiting for it to stabilize, now might be a good time to pick it up again.
