Wardogs opens early access on September 10: 100 players, 256 km² maps, and no pay-to-win.

Bulkhead Interactive and Team17 bring a three-team tactical shooter to Steam that already surpassed 100,000 concurrent players in beta.

p>Wardogs enters Steam Early Access on September 10, following a closed beta in late August that surpassed 100,000 concurrent players and nearly half a million total participants—numbers rarely seen for a tactical shooter still without a definitive release date.

The game from Bulkhead Interactive, published by Team17, pits up to 100 players in three teams on 256 km² destructible maps, with a 2x2 km central control zone that changes with each match.Everyone starts with 10,000 virtual dollars and earns them by fighting, delivering supplies, or defending the objective: the money is then used to purchase weapons, vehicles, and fortifications before the next match.

No battle pass, no pay-to-win elements: cosmetics are unlocked just by playing, and those who prefer a more raw experience can activate the hardcore mode with a bare-bones interface. On PC, the standard version costs €39.99, while the Supporter Edition (€49.99) includes extra content—and the price, the developers warn, will increase when the game leaves early access, which is expected to last between 12 and 24 months. To run at 1080p at 60 fps, you only need a GTX 1660 and 16 GB of RAM: it's not a graphics card of the year requirement, and honestly, it helps explain why the beta has already attracted so many people.
