In our previous story on Hell is Us we covered the delay of the Switch 2 release to October 8, alongside the arrival of ten new Hollow Walkers in the game world. In the meantime, though, Rogue Factor hasn't sat still: July brought update 1.7 (patch 1.011 on consoles), which touches something far more delicate than simple bug fixing.
The Guardian Detector, the tool players use to spot hidden threats, now also picks up any remaining Lymbic Entities left in an area once a timeloop closes — before, it was possible to finish a time loop and still be left in the dark about some lurking enemy. The same patch also brought the game to Xbox via the Windows Store, alongside minor fixes.
Going back further, April's update 1.009 (patch 1.6.1) had already fixed the Gluttony and Lingering Pain glyph issues, a nuisance several players reported on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S. The picture that emerges is one of fairly steady post-launch support, not a one-off sprint to please the community ahead of the Switch 2 debut.
The October 8 date still stands: alongside the Switch 2 version, the ten additional Hollow Walkers already announced will arrive, meant to address criticism about limited enemy variety. We'll tell you how the game's balance shifts as soon as the update goes live.
