Ova Magica was supposed to arrive on consoles on July 21st.It didn't make it, and the new date is September 8, 2026: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch, and Switch 2 will all receive the game together on that day.
The team behind the project explained the reason for the delay quite honestly: natively supporting the Switch 2 hardware required profound changes to the console code, and finishing the other versions well was worth more than releasing something immature on time. The game has already been available on PC for a while.
Ova Magica mixes farm management and the capture of magical creatures, a genre that we at apocanow always willingly follow because it usually hides more tricks and systems than it seems at first glance.A seven-week delay isn't dramatic, but two delays in the same year raise some doubts about the initial time estimate.
As soon as the game is downloadable on consoles, we'll start hunting for tricks and secrets, as always.
