Truckful launches October 9th: pickup truck deliveries and a mystery in the woods, on PC and Android

MythicOwl's delivery game, published by Pocketpair, arrives on Steam and Google Play on October 9th. PS5 and PS4 follow. A demo is already available on Steam.

Truckful, a single-player adventure where you drive a pickup truck around making deliveries, is coming out on October 9th. It's developed by MythicOwl and published by Pocketpair Publishing. At launch, it's only available on PC (Steam, also with a native Linux version) and Android on Google Play. There's no release date yet for PS5 and PS4.

The story goes like this: you run errands for the inhabitants of a village, load delicate goods, and upgrade the truck. Meanwhile, the story focuses on an ancient forest nearby, with an ancient mystery to uncover. The country roads also include areas of swamps and marshes, and the driving is based on physics: if the cargo wobbles, it really wobbles.

A demo is already available on Steam, and it's worth trying before spending. Some user comments complain about the camera, which is fixed on the front. The developers have said this is a deliberate choice, so don't expect any last-minute changes. We haven't found the price in any of the sources we've read, and we'd rather not guess.

We really like the idea of a relaxing game with a mystery in the background, but a camera that doesn't move in a driving game is a gamble. Will you tolerate it, or is that a reason to give it a miss?
