Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is released on October 14, 2026 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Switch 2 release date is confirmed, but not yet. It's being developed by Auroch Digital, published by Big Fan Games, and the release date was announced at the end of August.
This time, there are two versions of the game. Malum Caedo, the Ultramarine from the first game, returns, and with him comes Nyra Veyrath, a Sister of Battle. The enemy is Vashtorr the Arkifane, a demigod who awakens a huge demonic machine: the resulting explosion forces the two to chase corruption from world to world.
On the gameplay front, the developers are talking about unrepentant strafing and a more varied arsenal. New enemies include Bloodletters and Juggernauts, joining those already seen in the first game.
The detail that made us raise an eyebrow is the music. It's by Mick Gordon, the one from DOOM 2016, DOOM Eternal, and Wolfenstein: The New Order. For an old-school first-person shooter, it's the right choice, and honestly, that alone is enough to pique our interest.
We haven't found any information on the price or pre-orders, so we can't tell you how much it will cost yet.
