Character choice and equipment
Pick a character like Zhou Yu and set up the best equipment with powerful items such as the Tiger Amulet, Tortoise Amulet, Shell Armor, Seven Stars Blade and Peacock Urn to take on the stage.
Item farming techniques
Break the crate holding the item you want without picking it up right away, then land Perfect or higher combos to boost your odds of getting an upgraded version of that item.
Save management in Free Mode
Save your game after destroying a crate that holds an item but before picking it up, so you can reload that save point if the item you get doesn't meet your expectations.
Strategy against Sima Yi
Head straight for Sima Yi in the Siege of He Fei Castle stage, whittle down his health bar first without finishing him off, then focus on keeping your combos going and recovering your own health.
How does Just Evasion work?
The remaster's new dodge isn't just about avoiding hits: trigger it at the exact moment an enemy is about to strike and you pull off a Just Evasion, opening a window for an immediate counterattack. Practice against slower generals before trying it on bosses — the timing is tight.

Split-screen co-op is back
The remaster brings back local two-player play, usable in Free Mode, Musou and VS challenges. If you played the original with a friend, you can replay the same battles without hooking up two separate consoles.
