Codes and Secrets
Cheat Codes
From the main menu choose "Extras", then "Enter Code" and type:
- letsdowork: unlocks Big Black in Free Skate, Online and Team Play (the jump function offline only).
- strangeloops: turns on the 3D effect with red/blue glasses. Repeat the code to turn it off.
Bonus Locations
- Etnies GvR Plaza: complete all the Street Challenges.
- Monster Skate Park: get a sponsor, then choose "Team Film Challenges" in the phone contacts. Complete them until you unlock the demo session with Rob Dyrdek; then you can buy the property for $200,000.
- S.V. Dam: complete all the magazine challenges (the Thrasher cover is here).
- S.V. Mega-Ramp Stadium: win all the Tranny contests.
- S.V. Summit: complete all the Deathraces to unlock the top of the Cougar Mountains.
- Training Park: complete all the Team Film Challenges.
- Reg's mini ramp: complete the Thrasher and Magazine Skate challenges, the Deathraces and the Demo, Street and Tranny contests. Slappy gives you the key: it is in the starting park, in the warehouse area, by moving some trash. Today it is a small area with a bowling lane and a pool, not a ramp.
Characters and Crowns
- Dem Bonez: complete all the Hall of Meat goals in Career (unlocks in Free Skate and Team Play).
- King of the Mountain crown: complete all the races, excluding bonus ones, in Career.
- Legend crown: reach Legend rank Online.
Pools
The letters and numbers are the map markers.
- Community Pool: left of E and 3. Do-Drop Inn Pool: between E and F, below 3. G.E.D. High Pool: right of E and 4. Old Pool: D, above 4.
- Party Pool: E, between 3 and 4. Poop Deck Pool: D 8. Think Pink Pool: between C and D, between 3 and 4.
Spots
Kill a spot in Career to meet the second request and unlock it in Free Play and Team Play. The main ones (map letter/number):
- Rock The Gap: between B and C, below 4. No Need For Speed: between B and C, below 4. Mini-Mega Redux: left of E and 4. Lilypads: left of D, below 7.
- Thrice the Hubba: left of E and 5. The Wall: between D and E and 3. Off Street: left of E, between 6 and 7. Books: right of E, between 4 and 5.
- Glass Awning: right of B and 5. By The Bridge: between D and E and 6. Alphabet: left of E, between 4 and 5. Razor's Edge: left of C, between 6 and 7.
- Swiss Cheese Moon: between C and D and 8. Welcome Hut: right of B and 4. Bus Stop: right of C, below 4. Winged Bench: left of C, above 5.
- Manny Hop Set: left of C, above 8. The Statue: right of A, between 6 and 7. Urban Curves: right of E, below 3. Getting Technical: E and above 7. Stink Pit: between A and B and 5.
Gameplay Tips and Tricks
- Easy money: complete the Thrasher magazine challenges until you unlock the Pros and get the board sponsor, which doubles your earnings in most events. Then bet the maximum in the Deathraces: if you lose, restart and try again.
- Changing the color of signature clothes (only shirts, hoodies and jackets): pause, "Edit Skater", "Haggle", buy the signature item and leave the shop. Wear it and return to the shop, choose the same category (for example "Shirts") and then "Custom Shirts". Press Start, go to "Edit Receipt" and deselect the shirt; return to the shop and you can customize the signature item.
- Mongo push: pushes with the front foot. With the right foot in front press A; with the left foot in front press X.
- Car surfing (World Grab): hold World Grab on the rear bumper of a car, even one stopped at a traffic light, to travel at about double speed. Sports cars go faster; by letting go to one side you get an extra boost.
- Throwing yourself in the air: while going slowly press Y to step off the board and immediately get back on; hold LT + RT + Y + B while your feet return to the board. It requires precise timing: more time in the air and more points in the Hall of Meat challenges.
Easy Challenges
- Alien Manual Shop: get off the board, climb onto the first planter, run around and go down the stairs, jump to the other side and climb back onto the board. Get off again, climb onto the second planter, jump the gap between the two planters, run along the last section, get off and climb back onto the board.
- Blaow!: pump and hold RT on the stern pipe opposite the split (where the 2 arrows are), use speed and air at an angle to jump the split.
- Can You Spell Girl?: restart until Eric Koston falls; for the 540 move the left stick left and right in the same direction. Take the bike rack from the area above, put it against the table without touching it (otherwise "Reset Object"): Eric Koston and Mike Carroll will fall.
- Dunk Slam: put a ramp under the backboard, almost aligned but slightly in front, and remove the other. Skate fast, hold RB before the ramp and Up after the push to grab the backboard.
- Jam With Danny Way: before the challenge, get off the board and take a road-closed sign from the area at the top toward Danny's path. Don't block yours.
- Vert With The Vampire: get as much air as possible, then hold RT until you see the edge of the window: release when the edge ends to pass over the wall.
- Who Lives Here?: move the object to the left of the landing spot.
- Anyone Else? reward: in the Lighthouse park, take the big blue bench to the east and set it aside. Start the Throwdown and choose the lighthouse as your prize: the opponents stop for the bench. Perform double or triple kickflips, which the Pros don't copy.
- On Top Of The World reward: complete all the K.O.T.M. challenges and teleport to the top. Find the little house with the pipe, put the ramp in an open area and do an upside-down inversion.
Rewards (Trophies)
- Platinum: unlock all the other rewards. Gold: Perfectionist (all streets in Career), Online Legend (Legend rank).
- Silver: SBM Cover, Thrasher Cover, How You Like Them Apples? (all the Pros' numbers), Anyone Else? (beat all the Pros at the Throwdown), Spare Parts (all the Hall of Meat paths), Urban Legend Too (all the spots), Active Skater, Online Pro.
- Bronze (career): Race Hero, Real Estate Mogul, Fully Sponsored, Pull the Plug, Sandbag (break 15 bones in one fall), Uninsurable (100 bones), Need for Speed (maximum speed for 5 seconds), Grasshopper and Stairmaster (10 m grass grabs and 12 m stair grabs), Make it Big! (use Big Black 10 times).
- Secret: Taste The Mongo (Bronze): use the Mongo Push 5,000 times in Career.
