Konami sets Castlevania: Belmont's Curse's launch for October 15 on PS5, Xbox, and PC. Pre-orders are open, the Japanese cast is revealed, and the Switch version arrives later.
The date is official: Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is released on October 15 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Xbox on PC). Those waiting for the Nintendo Switch version will have to be patient, as it will arrive later in 2026 and has neither a release date nor pre-orders yet.
You play as Rose Belmont, Trevor's daughter, in Paris in 1499, twenty-three years after the events of Castlevania III. The game is a 2D action game built on exploration, featuring the Vampire Killer whip of all time. It is developed by Evil Empire together with Konami and Motion Twin, while Konami is the publisher.
The standard edition includes the Alucard Style costume for pre-orders. The Midnight Edition costs more (we couldn't find the prices in the sources, so we won't provide any) and adds a digital sound and image gallery with 71 tracks, the Traverse Style and Cipher Style costumes, and the Family Portrait magical device.
Konami has also unveiled the Japanese cast: Yui Ishikawa is Rose, Ryotaro Okiayu is Trevor, and Naoya Uchida voices Dracula. The English dub is already in the trailers, and apparently YouTube has auto-dubbed both, with easy-to-imagine results.
October is already busy, with Hell is Us and Kingdom Hearts III coming out on the 8th, and the 15th will be another week with some things left behind. A two-dimensional Castlevania that focuses on exploration makes us very curious. And you, do you trust the return of the Belmonts?
