Introduction and Game Plot

Wolfenstein: The New Order is the MachineGames shooter in which Nazism won the war, here in the PlayStation 4 version. This page contains the solutions to the Enigma Codes. From the main menu, go to Extras and then Enigma Codes, but you must have collected all the code pieces during the main missions. Each code unlocks a mode and the corresponding trophy. There's also a trailer.

Enigma Codes: How to Unlock the Secret Modes

From the main menu choose "Extras" and then "Enigma Codes". To enter a code you must have collected, during the main missions, all the Enigma code pieces that make it up. Each code unlocks a game mode and its trophy.

Code 1 (pieces 1 to 8): 999 Mode (Uber difficulty, 999 health points, infinite ammo), trophy "Secrets Revealed I".

Secrets and Side Missions

Wolfenstein 3D Levels

In Chapter 4 you meet Anya in the secret Resistance base. After stealing the helicopter, climb the stairs to the room at the top, find the mattress on the floor near the window, interact with the lectern and choose to enter the nightmare to play a Wolfenstein 3D level.

Laserkraftwerk Upgrade

After finding the Laserkraftwerk in Chapter 4, you can upgrade it to a Laser Pistol. Later in the same chapter you reach a platform above a moving vehicle: go down the stairs on the left to find an item similar to the battery you received at the start.

Max's Lost Toys (Chapter 7)

After bringing Anya the "Super Concrete" sample, Max goes back to sleep. Next to his bed, in the Kreisau Circle base, you find the drawing of the 4 missing toys. Bring them back to unlock Max in the character screen:

Robot: in the Kreisau Circle Hangar, you hear it as soon as you enter.
Telephone: on Caroline Becker's table.
Letter blocks: in the hidden room behind the poster in Caroline's room; enter the hole and look to the left, on the floor.
Fire truck: ask Wyatt or Fergus for the key, open the door and look on the shelf on the left.

Collectibles

In total there are 72 Enigma codes, 50 gold items and 10 letters. How they work:

You can look for them at any time, by replaying an episode or after finishing the game. Fergus's and Wyatt's timelines have the same levels and the same collectibles; only the choice between picking locks and hacking circuits changes.
Killing commanders silently marks some locations on the map with a question mark, but not all of them: some areas have no commander.
Each collectible is saved immediately: you don't need to reach the next checkpoint. Even if you start a new game, your progress remains.
Below the chapter selection you can see how many you have found. From the in-mission collectibles menu you can read the name of each one.

Chapter 1: Map, Gold Medal, Oskar's Letter, 2 Gold Goblets, Gold Sword, Gold Ball Trophy, codes 1-1 to 1-7.
Chapter 2: Map, Izabela's Letter, Gold Decorative Hat, code 1-8, armor (Wyatt) and health (Fergus) upgrades.
Chapter 3: Gold Clock, Roman's Letter, Gold Egg, Gold Lion Medal, Gold Door, codes 1-9 and 8-1 to 8-6, 2 upgrades for each timeline.
Chapter 4: Erdmann's Letter, Gold Plate, Frame, Nugget and Helmet, codes 8-7, 8-8, 8-9 and 2-1 to 2-3.
Chapter 5: Gold Urn, Recording, armor and health upgrades.
Chapter 6: Gold Statue, Carafe, Knife and Flask, codes 2-4 to 2-9, 7-1 and 7-2.
Chapter 7: Bobby's Letter, Recording, Gold Ashtray, armor and health upgrades.
Chapter 8: Gold Dagger, Pistol, Bust and Mask, Christa's Letter, codes 7-3 to 7-9 and 3-1; some items require completing the side missions.
Chapter 9: Charlotte's Letter, Gold Item and Gold Vase (side missions), Recording.
Chapter 10: Gold Book, Ladle, Snake, Lantern and Lunula, Ingrid's Letter, codes 3-2 to 3-9.
Chapter 11: Gold Letter Opener, Tray, Skull, Toy Robot, Vase and Crown, codes 6-1 to 6-5.
Chapter 12: Gold Soldier, Compass and Rabbit, codes 6-6 to 6-9 and 4-1 to 4-4.

Achievements and Trophies

Wolfenstein Master (Platinum): earn all the trophies.
Liberation (Gold): complete the game on any difficulty.
Super Hero (Silver): complete the game on "I Am Death Incarnate!". Über Hero (Silver): complete the game on Uber level.
All That Glitters (Bronze): 25 gold items. Heart of Gold (Silver): all gold items. The Lives of Others (Bronze): all letters.
Secrets Revealed I-IV (Silver): solve Enigma Codes 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Stealth perks: Scout I (1), Knife Throwing (2), Knife Sheath + (3), Knife Sheath ++ (4), Silent Shot (5), Vampire (6), Scout II (7), Assassin (8, Silver).
