Levels and Secrets
- Moon Level: on the title screen type "Meteora". Alternatively summon a teleporter and use it to reach the Moon Level.
- Secret levels: summon a teleporter and use it to go to one of the three secret levels.
- Time Machine: write "Time Machine": by driving it you go at random to the Middle Ages, to prehistory or to the top of a space shuttle.
- Original Scribblenauts costume: complete all the puzzles and action levels in Advanced mode (it was the protagonist's original design, before Maxwell).
- Gold star: complete a puzzle with a silver star; redo it in Advanced mode, where you must complete the same level three times in a row with different objects. When you finish you get the gold star in the puzzle selection.
- Alternate title backgrounds (Sandbox mode, type on the title screen): Bee, Car, Cat, Chair, Coffin, Coin, Court, It, PC, Rain (then choose "rain(water)"), Tree, Vibes, Woman, Zombie.

Creatures and Useful Words
- Folklore: Centaur, Cupid, Elf, Faun, Ghoul, Leprechaun, Merman, Mermaid, Santa, Vampire, Werewolf, Wood Elf, Zombie.
- Legendary: Behemoth, Cecaelia, Chimera, Dragon, Dragon God, Gargoyle, Griffin, Kraken, Leviathan, Manticore, Medusa/Naga, Pegasus, Phoenix, Roc, Sandworm, Siren, Unicorn.

- Interactions: the Centaur can be ridden and is fast; Cupid, if he dies, drops the Cupid's Bow, which makes hostile animals friendlier; the Myrmidon and the Siren, if summoned together, fight; Santa gives you random gifts; Rick Roll dances and then explodes.
- Magic (usually does not work in water): Blue Magic freezes almost everything; Dark/Black Magic turns every living being into a skeleton warrior (offensive); Green Magic (or the magic wand) turns into a frog; Red Magic explodes on contact (useful with TNT).
Level Tricks
- Advanced mode: the game ignores adjectives when you write a word, but in Advanced mode the word with an adjective counts as different: you can complete a level three times by writing "Wins", "Big Wins" and "Small Wins" (it registers three different words). Writing "abc Wings" registers "Wings".
- Easy action levels: create handcuffs, tie them to the Starite, summon a vending machine nearby and attach the other end: you can "fill" it with the Starite; drag it toward Maxwell and empty it. It also works with other fillable objects, such as trash cans. To move it toward you, drag the vending machine with the handcuffs.
- Easy money: in Level 10-11 in action mode, walk to the star and complete the level: repeatable to get lots of Ollars.
- Killing: the Blob is immune to all attacks except some man-made weapons (like the flamethrower) and kills dragons, minotaurs and even the Grim Reaper: take it around the level.
- Stars behind barriers: connect the star to the barrier with a rope or a jump rope: it will fall past the barrier or you will be able to pull it.
- Flying creatures: write "Wings" and put them on Maxwell: every rideable creature can fly briefly. Puddle: with "Pool" or "Ocean" you can make objects float (useful for the Starites).
- Death: for NPCs to kill (bears, scammers, dinosaurs) write "Death" (or Grim Reaper) and put it next to the enemy: it kills everything alive, even Maxwell. It does not count as a weapon, so you can still earn the "No weapons" merit.
- Vampires: create a "Sun" to reduce vampires and werewolves in human form to dust; Cross, Garlic or Stake also work.
