Unlockables
- Annna: complete Chapter 4. Survival Mode, View Mode (hints about the attacks of characters and enemies) and Hard difficulty: complete Story Mode on Normal.
- Violent difficulty: complete the story on Hard. Berserk difficulty: complete the story on Violent; in Berserk the falling red orbs heal the character (except Annna).
- Aya's Dual Sword Style: start Chapter 3.
Stats Reset
After unlocking everything for a character you get its codes: the stats are zeroed and the points become available again in "Point Get!". In the main menu hold the Right Analog stick, move it in the indicated direction and press the D-pad:
- Aya (Right Analog Up): D-pad Down = Power; Left = Reach; Up = Skill; Right = Vitality.
- Saki (Right Analog Right): D-pad Down = Power; Left = Reach; Up = Skill; Right = Vitality.
- Annna (Right Analog Down): D-pad Left = Gun; Down = Power; Up = Skill; Right = Vitality.
Alternate Costumes and Colors
Each part (hair, top, lower part, arms, legs) is unlocked by completing levels 1, 2 and 3 (two for the arms) of a mission:
- Aya: hair = A Strange Woman; top = Genocide; lower part = Red Makeup; arms = Insane Lust (levels 1-2); legs = Near Death. Black hair and light skin: Insane Lust level 3; red hair, black eyes and pink lips: Bloody Sword level 1; dark skin: Bloody Sword level 2; blue eyes and cherry lips: Bloody Sword level 3; gold hair and green eyes: character level 20; red eyes and lavender lips: level 30.
- Saki: hair = Dance of the Empress; top = Empress's Death Combo; lower part = Untouched Empress; arms = Fast and Beautiful Death (1-2); legs = Grand Master. Brown and light skin: Fast and Beautiful Death level 3; red hair and dark skin: Zombie Slayer level 2; black eyes and pink lips: Zombie Slayer level 1; blue eyes and cherry lips: Zombie Slayer level 3; gold hair and green eyes: level 20; red eyes and lavender lips: level 30.
- Annna: hair = Master Techniques; top = Height of Ecstasy; lower part = Deadly Violence; arms = Dance (1-2); legs = Quick Counterattack. Brown and light skin: Dance level 3; red hair and dark skin: Hit and Run level 2; brown eyes and pink lips: Hit and Run level 1; black eyes and cherry lips: Hit and Run level 3; black hair and green eyes: level 20; red eyes and lavender lips: level 30.
Posters
- Complete Survival mode 3 times (stages 1-18, 1-36, 1-56) to unlock the poster series; press LB and RB on the title screen to change the background. Individual posters are unlocked by: Aides (Arrival in the Abyss level 1); Himiko (level 3); Miseria (level 2); Annna (Rain of Bullets level 2); Reiko (level 3); Saki (level 1); Aya (Story Mode completed).
- A second series of backgrounds is unlocked with Annna's Ecstasy attack (X + A) in a stage.
Research Missions
They can be completed on any difficulty and in any stage.
- Row 1: use the Y + B attack many times; clear all the rooms of enemies; reach Berserk mode many times in one level; finish a boss in Berserk mode.
- Row 2: finish a boss with only 1 life notch; kill a boss with the bloody sword at 100%; 20 combined manual hits; kill 100 enemies in a row.
- Row 3: finish several stages without taking hits; finish the bosses very quickly; perform a long combo (all white hits); hit 10 zombies without being hit.
- Row 4: more violent combos in a level; use X + A many times (you need three flashing segments); enter Berserk with combos; dodge 10-30 enemy attacks without being hit.
- Row 5: kill all the bosses with evasion and counterattack; kill 100 enemies in Mission 5; use X + A many times with Annna; complete Survival at stages 18, 36 and 56 (three times): the last two missions on the right unlock the six new backgrounds, the others hair, arms, top, lower part and legs of Costume Mode.
Tips
- Clean the sword: a sword that is too bloody does much less damage.
- Instant kill with Saki: with Saki's Taijitsu you can instantly kill mud zombies, zombie dogs, giant zombies, regenerating zombies and bosses: press B to face the opponent and then X with precise timing.
