On September 29, Minecraft Dungeons II arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. On Xbox it's included with Game Pass from day one, and it also runs on cloud thanks to Xbox Play Anywhere.
At gamescom 2026 Mojang showed off Brave Haven, the game's hub village, for the first time, along with a new nightmare-fuel enemy: the Copper Monstrosity. This is where the real difference with the first Dungeons shows up - instead of the separate levels we were used to, the sequel offers connected worlds full of villages, side quests and dungeons that reshuffle their layout every run.
The Deep Dark biome is back too, this time inside a world you can explore without any loading breaks - straying from the main path seems worth it, since that's where the hidden areas are tucked away. You can play solo or with up to four players, online or in local co-op, just like in the first game.
The Standard Edition costs $29.99. Anyone who pre-orders by September 28 at participating retailers gets two hero skins, the Twisted Cape and the Twisted Chicken pet - small bonuses, but a good reason to decide quickly whether this sequel is worth the jump.
